The SilentROAR is discrete, and will cause the Athena to vibrate once when set. We recommend SilentROAR for situations where the user does not want to call attention to themselves. You should talk to your friend in advance about how to respond to a SilentROAR.
The alarm mode triggers a message to you, as well as a 90db alarm in your friend’s physical space. It indicates to you, and to the people immediately around the user, that help or intervention may be needed. As with the SilentROAR, talking to your friend in advance about the use for both alarms will help you know whether to call your friend, or call 911 when you receive notice of an alarm.
