This article will walk you through replacing batteries on a ROAR for Good Smart Beacon when the battery level is low.
ROAR Support reaches out when they notice that equipment has a low battery. Do not replace batteries until you are instructed to do so.
Battery Replacement Steps:
Step | Instructions | Visual |
1. | Remove the cover on the back side of the Smart Beacon. Older Smart Beacons do not have a cover.
2. |
Unscrew the four (4) Philips head screws. Note: a PH0 size screwdriver is recommended. The screws do not need to be removed all the way. |
|
3. | Remove the bottom half of the shell to expose the battery pack.
4. | Remove all batteries out of the Smart Beacon.
5. | Place each of the new batteries into the Smart Beacon. Note the orientations by the plus (+) and minus (-) symbols.
6. | Once all of the batteries have been placed, place the bottom half of the shell back onto the Smart Beacon. Orient it so the notch on the shell lines up with the rubber ON/OFF button.
7. | Tighten the screws for all four screws on the back of the Smart Beacon. |
After completing these steps, return the Smart Beacon to the room or location where it was installed in. For any additional assistance, please submit a support request here.
