This article will walk you through replacing batteries for your ROARs D15N Alert Devices when the battery level is low.
You can see the battery level through your customer dashboard.
1 |
Locate the top of the Alert Device. If anything is attached to the Alert Device (badge reel, pendant, lanyard, etc.), remove it and put it to the side while you work on the Alert Device. |
2 |
Insert a small flathead screwdriver or plastic pry tool into the notch at the top of the device and twist to separate the two halves.
To avoid damaging the device, do NOT apply inward/downward pressure! |
3 |
Separate the device into three parts.
4 |
Place a new battery into the main board and front cover with the negative side touching the contacts on the main board.
5 |
When the battery makes contact with the main board, verify that the LED on the Alert Device illuminates briefly, indicating that the device has powered on.
NOTE: LED color may vary from what is depicted in this guide. Any solid LED is acceptable for this step. |
6 |
Align the back cover (1) and main board and front cover (3). Snap the back cover (1) back onto the main board and front cover (3) using even pressure around the device.
7 |
Ensure there are no gaps or seams around the outside metal band of the device. |
8 |
Replace anything that was attached to the Alert Device (badge reel, pendant, lanyard, etc.), and move the device to the completed device pile. |
